Steven Sutherland, M.D.

 

Dr. Sutherland earned his B.S. degree from East Tennessee State University and his M.D. from East Tennessee State University's Quillen Dishner College of Medicine. He completed his General Psychiatry residency training and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina.

 

Dr. Sutherland is board certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  He is a member of the North Carolina Medical Society.  

In addition to outpatient psychiatric care, Dr. Sutherland has extensive experience providing inpatient and residential psychiatric care, and served in various leadership positions in the psychiatry department at Presbyterian Hospital in the past.  

 

Dr. Sutherland joined Eastover Psychiatric Group in 1991 and is perennially chosen by his peers as one of the 'Top Doctors' in Charlotte.  He enjoys treating children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of psychiatric concerns, including but not limited to Mood and Anxiety Disorders and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.
