Please note that the following information represents answers to the most common questions about the practice, but is not intended as a comprehensive list of our policies and procedures.

The office is generally open from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. However, individual clinicians' schedules do vary, and some may offer early or late appointments.

The office will be closed to observe major holidays.

In case of inclement weather, closings will be announced on WBTV, WSOC, and on the news page of the Eastover Psychological & Psychiatric Group website.
Patient Portal

Established patients may send and receive secure messages, view prescriptions and future appointments, fill out forms and questionnaires, request prescription refills, and pay bills in the patient portal.

If you do not yet have access to the patient portal please speak to your clinician or our staff at your next appointment, or call your office.
Lake Norman Office

The Lake Norman office is located at 19900 West Catawba Avenue, Suite 201, Cornelius, NC 28031.

We are conveniently located just off exit 28 (South 21/Lake Norman/Cornelius) from I-77. Look for our signage on the outside of the office building we share with several other businesses and medical practices. Parking is located in the back of the building. We are on the second floor in Suite 201.

Ballantyne Office

The Ballantyne office is located at 7810 Ballantyne Commons Parkway, Suite 106, Charlotte, NC 28277.

We are located in a small office park called Colony at Piper Glen at the northeast corner of the intersection of Rea Road and Ballantyne Commons Parkway. We are across Rea Road from the Stonecrest Target/Harris Teeter/Chick-fil-a.

There are entrances to the office park off of both Rea Road and Ballantyne Commons Parkway. Once in the office park, there are two buildings -- we are located in 7810, the 3 story building. We are on the first floor in Suite 106.

Insurance Information

Eastover Psychological & Psychiatric Group of the Carolinas is a direct-pay, or self-pay, practice. We do not participate on insurance panels and do not file insurance.

Full payment is expected at the time of service. We will then provide access to the information needed for you to file for reimbursement yourself through your insurance's out-of-network benefits.

We recommend that you refer to your insurance policy handbook or contact your insurance company so that you fully understand your out-of-network benefits. Some policies may not include any out-of-network benefits.
Fee Schedule

The following is a list of the most common types of appointments and their respective fees; charges may differ for shorter or longer appointments, or for additional services.

Initial evaluation appointment with psychiatrist or nurse practitioner: $450

25-30 minute follow-up appointment with psychiatrist or nurse practitioner: $220

40-60 minute follow-up appointment with psychiatrist or nurse practitioner: $350

Initial evaluation with therapist: $215

60 minute session with therapist: $175
Scheduling Information for New Patients

Please be aware that not all clinicians may be accepting new patients.

Initial evaluation appointments with a psychiatrist or nurse practitioner may last from 60 to 120 minutes, depending on clinician preference.

Initial appointments with a Psychologist or Therapist last approximately 60 minutes.

Initial appointments must be conducted in person.

If the patient is a minor (under 18), both the child and a parent/guardian must be present for the initial evaluation appointment.

Please bring any prior records or reports that you think may be helpful to your clinician to your initial appointment, especially any psychological/educational evaluations.

If you are interested in being seen as a new patient, please call the desired office and leave a message including your name and contact information. We will return your call as soon as possible.
Scheduling Information for Established Patients

Please call your respective office to schedule an appointment as an established patient.

Follow-up appointments for established patients may be conducted in person, or virtually/via telemedicine at the clinician's discretion.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment and check in at the front desk.

Follow up appointments with your psychiatrist are generally scheduled for 30-45 minutes, longer as necessary.

Follow up appointments with a therapist are generally scheduled for 45-60 minutes.

If the patient is a minor (under 18) they must be present for the appointment. If you wish to schedule a parent or family-only session, please discuss it with your clinician.

Please notify us at least 1 business day prior to your appointment if you need to cancel. Missed appointments and late cancellations are subject to charges.

Please note that if you arrive late for your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule.
